Hello from Penny

Winter 2017

Hello dear friends

Back with you at last with a news update!

The Penny life has been inevitable full of twists and turns. But here I am and the memoir – which many of you helped to make happen – is real and lovely and selling. First in the World Somewhere is a handsome book! I’m proud, I’m pleased and a teeny bit nervous as I embark on various readings and festivals to let the world know the book is out and ready to rocknroll!

On that note, I am pleased to say I’ll be reading and chatting and signing books this Tuesday 14 November, as part of the Newham Word Festival, at the Beckton Library from 7pm. A FREE event, but ticket advisable from the link.

If you live in Brighton or there about, I’m doing a Meet the Writer event for the marvellous Creative Future folk on 23 November, 6pm. Click the link for more info. Can’t wait to meet more readers and writers.

Stuck for a pressie as we hurtle towards the festive season? I am nothing if not cheeky, so how about a book? My book! Available in all good bookshops and online retailers, and on Unbound website.

Lots more stuff planned and yes, room for more. Do get in touch if you’d like to book me for your event or to discuss a proposal.

On 22 November, UK Disability History Month begins, encompassing the International Day of Disabled People on 3 December. A time for disabled people to tell their stories, to assert their rights within the human family – and to celebrate what we create from the unique perspective of our experiences. Good excuse to have a party too! I’ll be doing various performances but do have some free slots… so contact me.

Look out for more news and happenings shortly.

 Always with many thanks,

All good wishes
